Welcome (back)
Welcome (back) to the Institute of Belonging, a newsletter for people who bring people together. For those who I haven’t had the chance to meet yet, it’s so lovely to have you here.
After a little break, the newsletter will now come out monthly and will cover research, tools and reflections on community, connection and belonging.
If you’re getting this in your inbox for the first time, it’s because you’ve subscribed to the newsletter on https://instituteofbelonging.com
If we haven’t yet met… here’s a little bit about me.
I’m the founder of the Institute of Belonging - a company celebrating the systemic and generative power of networks, communities and ecosystems. I research, advise and speak on connection, community and belonging. I’m particularly interested in the radical transformation of our connection to work.
The idea of the quality of the connection plays a central role in my practice. Whether it’s developing global community programmes for kyu, designing new business models for IKEA, designing future of work capabilities for Virgin or curating for the V&A, my approach to building products, programmes and experiences is always community-first.
In my day-to-day, I develop systemic strategies that incorporate products, programmes and partnerships. Previously, I led Global Ecosystem Partnerships for Meta’s pioneering Communities team where I built programmes for community leaders at scale. Some of you might know me from global event series CreativeMornings, which I ran in London for seven years. And if poetry is your thing, I occasionally host an immersive poetry event called Poetika.
So happy you’re here, this is going to be fun.
Any questions or nerdy requests, please leave them in the comments below.
Warmly,
Victoria
